Kia ora koutou,

I had an awesome first week @Gisint with my 33 new year 7's who have settled into life @Gisint with ease.

We spent last week getting to each other and the other students and teachers in our syndicate. We established our class treaty, have started a piece of writing entitled 'I am from', began an art piece that will be up for display on Wednesday night, familiarised ourselves with our Gisint expectations and rewards systems.

We can't wait to head to Omaio Bay for camp in week 5 so we can continue to solidify our class and team culture and experience the great outdoors. I would really appreciate all of the notices that went home last week returned as soon as possible so I can continue to plan for our various term 1 excursions. Thank you in advance for this and for the swift return last week of our Food Tech Questionnaire, Preferred contact forms and e-Learning agreements.

If your child has returned their e-Learning agreement they may start to use the computers on Tuesday and bring along their own device if they have one. ICT will play a large part of our classroom programme so whilst not essential, a device will be used daily if your child has their own.

Tech starts on Thursday and Friday of this week. Please make sure your child has covered shoes (Can be running shoes or sneakers) for cooking and woodwork. Here is a list of where our children are starting tech and what they need to bring. Each cycle is approximately 6-7 weeks long.

                       .

Have a wonderful week and see you all at Meet the Teacher on Wednesday.
